Alya

Alya has two distinct origins. In Arabic, it derives from the root meaning high, elevated, or sublime, related to the name Aliyah, and it is widely used across the Arab world as well as in Indonesian, Malay, and Turkish communities. Separately, Alya exists in Russian as a diminutive form of Alevtina or Alexandra, functioning as an affectionate short form rather than an independent given name. Closely related forms include Alia, Aliya, and Aliyah.
