Angelique

Angélique is the French form of Angelica, ultimately derived from the Latin angelicus, meaning angelic, which itself traces back to the Greek angelos, meaning messenger or messenger of God. The name has been borne in literature most famously by Angélique, a character in Molière's comedies, and it carries an airy, spiritual elegance that made it fashionable in France from the early modern period onward.
