Ankica

Ankica is a South Slavic diminutive form of Ana, itself the Latinate rendering of the Hebrew name Channah, meaning grace or favor. It is used primarily in Croatian, Serbian, Slovene, and Macedonian naming traditions as an affectionate everyday form rather than a formal given name. The base form Ana shares its ancestry with the widespread European variants Anna, Anne, and Hannah, all tracing back to the same Hebrew root.
