Annet

Annet is a Dutch diminutive form of Anna, itself derived from the Hebrew name Channah, meaning grace or favor. It has long been used in the Netherlands and Flanders as an affectionate short form of Anna or its elaborated variant Annette. The name also enjoys independent popularity in Uganda and other parts of East Africa, where Dutch missionary and colonial influence helped introduce European names into local naming traditions.
