Antea

Antea is a Latinized form of the Greek name Antheia, derived from the Greek root anthos, meaning flower or blossom. In Greek mythology, Antheia was an epithet of Hera and also the name of one of the Graces, reflecting associations with flowering nature and beauty. The name gained wider cultural recognition during the Renaissance, partly through the celebrated portrait known as Antea painted by the Italian master Parmigianino in the sixteenth century.
