Anzhela

Anzhela is a Slavic and Armenian feminine form of Angela, itself derived from the Latin angelus and ultimately from the Greek angelos, meaning messenger or messenger of God. The name spread widely through Eastern Europe and the Caucasus alongside the influence of Christianity, which gave the concept of angels central religious significance. Variant forms include Angela, Angelina, Anzhelika, and the Bulgarian and Belarusian Anzhelа, all sharing the same Greek root.
