Benett

Benett is a Hungarian modern form of Benedict, which derives from the Latin name Benedictus, meaning blessed. Benedictus itself comes from the Latin verb benedicere, to speak well of or to bless, combining bene (well) and dicere (to speak). The name spread widely across medieval Europe through the influence of Saint Benedict of Nursia, the sixth-century founder of Western monasticism.
