Debra

Debra is an English variant of Deborah, a name of Hebrew origin derived from the word for bee. In the Hebrew Bible, Deborah is a prophetess and judge who led the Israelites to victory against the Canaanites, making the name a symbol of strength and wisdom. Debra rose to widespread use in English-speaking countries during the mid-twentieth century, partly through the influence of actress Debra Paget.
