Eliyahu

Eliyahu is a Hebrew name composed of the elements El, meaning God, and Yahu, a contracted form of the divine name YHWH, giving the overall sense my God is YHWH or YHWH is my God. It is the original Hebrew form of the name borne by the great Israelite prophet Elijah, whose dramatic deeds are recorded in the Books of Kings and who holds a revered place in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic tradition.
