Estella

Estella is a Latinate feminine name derived from the Latin stella, meaning star. It was popularized in the English-speaking world largely through Charles Dickens's novel Great Expectations (1861), in which Estella is the cold, beautiful ward of Miss Havisham. The name is closely related to Stella, as well as the Spanish and Portuguese Estrella and Estrela, and the Old French-derived Estelle, all sharing the same celestial root.
