Fanny

Fanny originated as a diminutive or pet form of Frances, itself the feminine counterpart of Francis, which derives from the Medieval Latin Franciscus meaning Frank or Frenchman, ultimately referring to the Germanic Frankish people. The name has been in use across English, French, Spanish, and Swedish traditions since at least the eighteenth century.
