Faye

Faye is an English name with disputed origins, most commonly traced to the Old French word for fairy or enchantment, related to the word faie, which passed into Middle English as fay. Some scholars also connect it to the Old English word fæge, meaning fated or doomed, a term used of those marked by destiny. The name gained wider use in English-speaking countries during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, partly through associations with the enchantress Morgan le Fay of Arthurian legend. Fay is the most common variant spelling, and the name is occasionally used as a short form of Faith.
