Heleena

Heleena is a variant spelling of Helena, itself the Latinized form of the ancient Greek name Helene, whose root meaning is debated but commonly linked to the Greek word for torch or light, or alternatively connected to Hellas, the Greek name for Greece. The name gained wide currency through Helen of Troy, the legendary figure of Greek mythology, and later through Saint Helena, mother of the Roman emperor Constantine the Great, who is venerated in Christian tradition. The name spread throughout Europe in numerous forms, including Ellen, Elena, Elaine, and Elin.
