Isabell

Isabell is a German form of Isabel, which itself developed as a medieval Iberian adaptation of Elizabeth, the Latinized form of the Hebrew name Elisheba, meaning my God is an oath or my God is abundance. The name spread across Europe during the Middle Ages largely through royal and noble bearers, including several queens of Castile and France.
