Ivka is a South Slavic diminutive form of Iva or Ivana, themselves feminine derivatives of Ivan, the Slavic form of the Hebrew name Yohanan, meaning God is gracious. The name has been widely used among Croatian, Serbian, and Slovenian speakers as both an affectionate short form and an independent given name.
