Izabela

Izabela is the Polish, Czech, Slovak, and Slovene form of Isabel, itself a medieval Iberian adaptation of Elisabeth, which derives from the Hebrew name Elisheba, meaning my God is an oath or my God is abundance. The name spread widely across medieval Europe through royal and noble bearers, including several queens of Castile and Portugal. Cognate forms found in other languages include Isabella, Isabelle, and Isabel.
