Jaana

Jaana is a Finnish and Estonian feminine form of Johanna, itself derived from the Hebrew name Yohanan, meaning God is gracious. It developed as a vernacular short form in the Finnic language tradition and became widely used as an independent given name throughout Finland and Estonia during the twentieth century. Related forms include Johanna, Hanna, and the masculine Juhani.
