Janna

Janna has two distinct origins. In Dutch, Swedish, Finnish, and English use, it functions as a feminine form of Jan, itself a contracted form of Johannes, the Latin and Greek rendering of the Hebrew name Yohanan, meaning God is gracious. In Arabic, Janna means garden or paradise, carrying the same sense as the Quranic word for heaven. Related forms include Jana, Johanna, and Hanna.
