Josepha

Josepha is a Latinate feminine form of Joseph, which derives from the Hebrew name Yosef, meaning he will add or God will increase, from the root yasaf. The name entered European use through Latin ecclesiastical tradition and was particularly current in German-speaking and Dutch-speaking regions during the early modern period, borne notably by Josepha of Bavaria and several other noblewomen of the Habsburg circle. It remains rare in English usage today. Closely related forms include Josefa, Josefina, and Joséphine.
