Jovan

Jovan is a South Slavic form of the Hebrew name Yohanan, meaning God is gracious, transmitted through the Greek Ioannes and Latin Iohannes. It has been widely used among Serbian, Macedonian, and other Orthodox Christian communities, partly through veneration of Saint John the Apostle and John the Baptist.
