Jovana

Jovana is a South Slavic feminine form of Jovan, itself the Serbian and Macedonian equivalent of John, ultimately derived from the Hebrew name Yohanan, meaning God is gracious. The name has been widely used throughout the Balkans, carried in part by the enduring veneration of John the Baptist and John the Apostle in Orthodox Christian tradition.
