Kirsti

Kirsti is a Scandinavian, particularly Finnish and Norwegian, form of Christina, which derives from the Latin Christianus meaning follower of Christ, itself built on the Greek Christos, the anointed one, a translation of the Hebrew Mashiach. The name spread throughout Europe following the adoption of Christianity and became adapted into numerous regional forms across the Nordic countries.
