Nanci

Nanci is an English and Brazilian Portuguese variant of Nancy, itself a medieval diminutive of Anne, which derives from the Hebrew name Channah, meaning grace or favor. The spelling with an i in place of the final y reflects a mid-twentieth-century trend of personalizing feminine names through altered orthography.
