Neassa

Neassa is an Old Irish feminine name of uncertain but native Gaelic origin, possibly connected to a root meaning rough or ungentle. In early Irish mythology, Nessa is the mother of the legendary Ulster king Conchobar mac Nessa, and her story is preserved in several medieval texts; Neassa represents a variant spelling of that same name.
