Nikole

Nikole is a feminine form of Nicholas, ultimately derived from the ancient Greek name Nikolaos, composed of the elements nike, meaning victory, and laos, meaning people, thus carrying the sense of victory of the people. It entered widespread use in English-speaking and Basque-speaking communities as an alternate spelling of Nicole, the French feminine form that became globally popular in the twentieth century. Closely related forms include Nicole, Nicola, Nicolette, and Nikoletta.
