Olena

Olena is the Ukrainian form of Helen, ultimately derived from the ancient Greek name Helenē, whose root is debated but most commonly linked to the Greek word for torch or light, or possibly to Selene, the moon goddess. The name entered Ukrainian through Byzantine Greek influence alongside the spread of Eastern Christianity.
