Osborn

Osborn is an Old English name composed of the elements os, meaning "god," and beorn, meaning "warrior" or "bear-man," giving the overall sense of "divine warrior." It was brought to prominence in medieval England and was common among the Anglo-Saxons and Normans alike, appearing in Domesday Book records. The name largely fell out of everyday use after the medieval period but survived as a surname, which in turn occasionally circled back into use as a given name.
