Prisca

Prisca is a feminine Latin name derived from the Roman family name Priscus, itself from the Latin adjective priscus, meaning ancient, old, or venerable. It is found in the New Testament as the name of an early Christian woman, also called Priscilla, who was a companion and fellow missionary of the apostle Paul. The diminutive Priscilla became far more common in later use, particularly among Puritans who favored biblical names. Priscus and Priscilla are the most closely related forms.
