Reuven

Reuven is the original Hebrew form of the biblical name commonly anglicized as Reuben, derived from the Hebrew phrase meaning see, a son, traditionally interpreted as an expression of divine recognition of a mother's suffering. In the Hebrew Bible, Reuven is the firstborn son of Jacob and Leah, and the ancestor of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.
