Ricki

Ricki is a feminine (and occasionally masculine) diminutive form of Erica or Ricarda, ultimately derived from the Old High German elements ric, meaning power or ruler, and hari, meaning army, combined in the Germanic tradition. The name gained popularity in English-speaking countries during the twentieth century as an informal pet form. It shares its roots with cognates such as Richard, Eric, Erika, and Rickie, all tracing back to the same Proto-Germanic foundation.
