Rosy

Rosy is an English diminutive and pet form of Rose, itself derived from the Latin rosa, meaning the rose flower, which was borrowed from Greek and may ultimately trace back to an Iranian or Semitic source. The name carried strong associations with beauty, purity, and the Virgin Mary throughout medieval Christian Europe.
