Rubye

Rubye is an English given name and a variant spelling of Ruby, which derives from the Latin rubeus, meaning red, the same root that gave rise to the name of the deep-red gemstone. Like many jewel names, Ruby came into fashion as a given name in the nineteenth century, particularly in English-speaking countries.
