Simen

Simen is a Scandinavian form of Simon, which derives from the Hebrew name Shim'on, meaning "he who hears" or "God has heard." The name entered Northern Europe through the Greek Symeon and Latin Simon, spread largely by Christian tradition and the prominence of the apostle Simon Peter. It remains in common use in Norway and Denmark alongside the related forms Simon and Simeon.
