Stephany

Stephany is an English variant spelling of Stephanie, itself the French feminine form of Stephen, derived from the Latin Stephanus and ultimately from the Greek Stephanos, meaning crown or wreath. The name gained widespread use in Christian Europe partly through devotion to Saint Stephen, the first Christian martyr, though the feminine forms became especially popular in the twentieth century.
