Teresia

Teresia is a Swedish and Finnish feminine given name, a Latinate form of Theresa, which itself derives from the Greek name Therasia. The ultimate root is uncertain, though it is often connected to the Greek island of Thera or possibly to the Greek word meaning to harvest or to gather. The name gained widespread use in Catholic Europe largely through the influence of Saint Teresa of Ávila, the sixteenth-century Spanish mystic and reformer.
