Terezija

Terezija is the South Slavic and Latvian form of Theresa, a name of uncertain ancient origin, most likely derived from the Greek toponym Therasia, referring to the Greek island or a place in the Peloponnese. The name gained widespread use across Europe largely through the veneration of Saint Teresa of Ávila, the influential 16th-century Spanish mystic and reformer, as well as through Empress Maria Theresa of Austria.
