Ulriikka

Ulriikka is a Finnish feminine form of the Old High German name Ulrich, derived from the elements uodal, meaning ancestral heritage or estate, and rih, meaning ruler or power, giving the overall sense of ruler of the ancestral home. The name entered Finnish through Swedish influence, corresponding to the Swedish feminine form Ulrika. Ulrika itself spread across Scandinavia partly through royal and noble usage, most notably associated with Ulrika Eleonora, an eighteenth-century queen of Sweden.
