Walther

Walther is a German form of the Germanic name Walter, composed of the elements wald, meaning rule or power, and heri, meaning army. The name was widely used throughout medieval Europe and was borne by Walther von der Vogelweide, the celebrated Middle High German lyric poet of the late twelfth and early thirteenth centuries.
