Yannig

Yannig is a Breton diminutive form of Yann, itself the Breton equivalent of John, derived from the Hebrew Yohanan meaning God is gracious. The name belongs to the same vast family as French Jean, English John, Spanish Juan, and Welsh Iwan, all tracing back to the same Hebrew root through Greek Ioannes and Latin Iohannes.
