Yolonda

Yolonda is an English variant of Yolanda, a name ultimately derived from the medieval Latin form Violantis, itself drawn from Latin viola, meaning violet, the flower. The name traveled through Old French as Yolande and became widely used across medieval Europe, carried notably by several queens and noblewomen, including Yolande of Aragon. Yolonda, Yolanda, Jolanta, and Iolanthe all trace back to this same Latin floral root.
