Yutke

Yutke is a Yiddish diminutive form of the Hebrew name Yehudis (the feminine equivalent of Yehuda, meaning praise or, in a broader sense, one who gives thanks to God). It was used among Ashkenazic Jewish communities in Eastern Europe as an affectionate everyday form of the more formal name. Related forms include Yudes, Yudis, and the anglicized Judith.
