Alexus

Alexus is a modern English elaboration of Alex, which itself derives from the ancient Greek name Alexandros, composed of the elements alexein, meaning to defend, and aner, meaning man. The form Alexus emerged in the late twentieth century as part of a broader trend of creating feminine variants and embellishments of traditional names. It is closely related to Alexandra, Alexia, and Alexa, all of which share the same Greek root.
