Andrew

Andrew derives from the Greek name Andreas, itself built on the element aner (genitive andros), meaning man in the sense of an adult male or warrior. It was borne by one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, traditionally regarded as the first called, which gave the name widespread use throughout the Christian world from the early medieval period onward.
