Benjy

Benjy is an English diminutive of Benjamin, which derives from the Hebrew name Binyamin, composed of the elements ben, meaning son, and yamin, meaning right hand or south, giving the overall sense of son of the right hand. In the Hebrew Bible, Benjamin is the youngest son of Jacob and Rachel and the ancestor of one of the twelve tribes of Israel.
