Dorothee

Dorothee is the German form of the Late Greek name Dorothea, composed of the elements doron, meaning gift, and theos, meaning God, thus carrying the sense of gift of God. The name gained wide Christian usage through Saint Dorothy, a fourth-century martyr venerated in the Western church.
