Elizabet

Elizabet is a Bulgarian and Hungarian form of Elizabeth, itself derived from the Hebrew name Elisheba, composed of the elements el, meaning God, and sheva, meaning oath or possibly seven. The name was borne by Aaron's wife in the Hebrew Bible and gained widespread Christian veneration through Saint Elizabeth, mother of John the Baptist.
