Evette

Evette is a French diminutive form of Eve, which derives from the Hebrew name Chawwah, meaning life or living. The name shares its roots with the broader family of Eve-derived forms and is closely related to Yvette, with which it is sometimes used interchangeably, as well as Evette's more common cognates Evelyn and Eva. Its use spread through French-speaking regions and was later adopted in English-speaking countries during the twentieth century.
