Gabriella

Gabriella is the Italian and Hungarian feminine form of Gabriel, which derives from the Hebrew name Gavri'el, composed of the elements gever, meaning man or strong man, and El, meaning God, giving the overall sense of God is my strong man or God is my strength. The name is rooted in biblical tradition, as the archangel Gabriel appears in both the Old and New Testaments as a divine messenger. Gabriella spread widely across Europe through religious veneration and has been adopted in English and Swedish usage as well.
