Georgetta

Georgetta is an English and Romanian feminine diminutive of George, which derives from the Greek name Georgios, itself built on the element georgos, meaning farmer or earthworker, from ge (earth) and ergon (work). The name gained broader use in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries as elaborated feminine forms of George became fashionable across Europe and North America. It belongs to a family of related feminine forms including Georgina, Georgiana, Georgia, and Georgette.
