Heike

Heike is a Low German and Frisian diminutive of Heinrike, itself the feminine form of Heinrich, which derives from the Old High German elements haim, meaning home, and rihhi, meaning power or ruler, giving an overall sense of ruler of the home. The name has been widely used in the Netherlands and northern Germany, enjoying particular popularity in the mid-twentieth century.
